His duck returned! Yes, Brian’s now-famous mallard has returned to his backyard man-made pond to nest in her ‘anti-skunk’ nesting structure that Brian built last year. He constructed the ‘nesting tube’ after the duck lost all her eggs to the smelly nocturnal predator one very disappointing night last spring. But she’s back this year, sitting on what appears to be a full clutch. Stay tuned for the hatching….but meanwhile, have a look at the short video he produced last year:
