Brian and his wife, Dee, have been doing some exciting spring day-hiking in the front ranges lately! Last week they had two fantastic sightings: a Great gray owl, a bird usually seen further north in the boreal forest, seen here ‘mantling’ over a fresh small rodent kill, and a young grizzly bear amongst the aspen trees. It is very likely the bear is on his own for the first time!
